Visual Project Management That Syncro Doesn't Have Yet

Syncro handles your tickets and endpoints. TopLeft adds the Kanban boards, Gantt charts, and workload visibility that small MSPs need to stop juggling spreadsheets and Trello alongside their PSA.

What Syncro Does Well

A Solid Foundation for Small MSPs

Syncro is built for small MSPs who want one platform for RMM, PSA, and remote access without enterprise complexity. It does several things well:

  • All-in-one pricing — RMM + PSA + remote access from $129/user/month with unlimited endpoints. No per-device fees, no long-term contracts.
  • Fast onboarding — Most MSPs are up and running in days, not months. No consultant required.
  • Smart ticketing — Automatic classification, routing, child tickets, and the new "My Queue" view keep daily service work organized.
  • Integrated billing — Time tracking, invoicing, and contracts tied directly to tickets.
  • XMM platform — M365 multi-tenant management, cloud backup, and network discovery built into the same console.
The Gap

Where Syncro Stops

Syncro's strength is simplicity. The tradeoff is that project management, dispatch, and workload visibility don't exist in the platform.

MSPs hit this wall as soon as they take on structured project work:

No Kanban boards
There's no visual way to see tickets or tasks moving through stages. You get a ticket list and a basic calendar. MSPs who want to see work in progress across their team are left switching between screens.
No dispatch board
Assigning work means manually updating ticket assignments. There's no drag-and-drop dispatch view, no real-time view of who's available, and no automated workload balancing.
No Gantt charts or project timelines
If you're running a network refresh, an M365 migration, or an office move, Syncro has no way to visualize the timeline, track dependencies between tasks, or see if you're on schedule.
No capacity planning
You can't see at a glance which technicians are overloaded and which have room. The 2025 "Technician Utilization Reporting" feature shows logged hours after the fact, but doesn't help you plan ahead.
No project templates
Every project starts from scratch. Syncro has mentioned "templatizing" on their roadmap, but it hasn't shipped.
"We've been using tickets and check sheets for project planning but it's messy and unprofessional."
Syncro user, Syncro Support Community
"Project management needs work."

The Solution

What TopLeft Would Add to Syncro

TopLeft is the visual project management layer built specifically for MSP PSA platforms. Here's what your team gets.

TopLeft already integrates with ConnectWise, Autotask, and HaloPSA. If we build the Syncro integration, here's what your team gets:

Kanban Boards Synced to Syncro Tickets
See every ticket and task as a card on a visual board. Drag cards between columns to update status. Changes sync back to Syncro automatically. No more scrolling through ticket lists to figure out what's stuck.
Capacity Planning Across Your Team
A single view showing each technician's workload for the week. See who's overbooked, who has room, and reassign work in seconds. This is the feature Syncro MSPs ask for most and can't get today.
Gantt Charts for Projects
Map out multi-week projects (migrations, onboarding, infrastructure upgrades) with task dependencies and milestones. See the critical path and know immediately when a delay will cascade.
Swimlane Views
Group work by client, technician, priority, or project. See your entire service operation organized the way your brain works, not the way a ticket list forces you to think.
Dispatch Visibility
A real-time view of who's working on what, which tickets are unassigned, and where the bottlenecks are. Dispatchers can balance the queue without switching between multiple Syncro screens.

The Practical Case

Why Not Just Switch PSAs?

Switching from Syncro to ConnectWise or Autotask for better project management means:

  • 3-6 months of migration — data migration, workflow rebuilds, staff retraining.
  • 2-3x higher monthly cost — ConnectWise runs $400+/user/month vs. Syncro's $129.
  • Enterprise complexity you don't need — if you're a 3-person MSP, ConnectWise's 200+ configuration options are overhead, not value.
  • Losing Syncro's RMM integration — Syncro's single-database RMM+PSA is genuinely convenient for small shops.
